Vikas Sahani / Product builder / Mumbai, IN

I turn business problems into working products, with AI as my build partner.

I am a product builder from Mumbai. I have spent four and a half years in customer-facing finance, so I start from what people actually struggle with, then use AI-assisted development to build and ship the answer.

01 / Work

Products I have built

Four projects, ordered by reach. Each one starts with a real problem and says plainly what exists today. The double-lined card is the one to start with.

  • 02 / OPEN SOURCE

    Context Fabric

    Live, version 1.2.2

Gives AI coding assistants a memory of your project that stays correct as the code changes.

    • MCP
    • Node.js
    • Context engineering
    • SQLite
GitHub repository (opens in a new tab)
    Problem
AI assistants forget your project between sessions, and the notes you keep for them go stale as the code changes, so they work from outdated context.
    Approach
An MCP server that saves the project’s state on every git commit, spots when that saved context no longer matches the code, and hands the assistant a short briefing that fits its token budget. Five cooperating engines watch, check, rank, budget and compose it.
    What exists today
    • Version 1.2.2 on npm
    • MIT licensed, open source
    • Requires Node.js 22 or later
  • 03 / ANDROID APP

    SubscribCHEK

In closed testing on Google Play

Shows what your subscriptions really cost per year and helps you cancel them, with no bank login and no account.

    • Kotlin
    • Jetpack Compose
    • On-device
    • Privacy-first
Visit the website (opens in a new tab)
    Problem
Subscriptions are easy to forget and hard to see. People pay for services they no longer use because the real yearly cost is never in front of them.
    Approach
A native Android app that tracks recurring subscriptions, shows the cost over a full year, and guides you through cancelling the ones you no longer want. It never cancels for you, has no backend and asks for no bank login or account. Everything stays on the phone.
    What exists today
    • Native Android, built with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
    • Closed testing is running on Google Play ahead of the public launch
  • 04 / ANDROID APP

    AsanaPals

In testing before its Google Play launch

A calm, offline wellness app where five animal companions help you move, rest, breathe and restart.

    • Flutter
    • Offline-first
    • Wellbeing
    • No tracking
    Problem
Most wellness apps become one more thing you are failing at: scores, streaks and missed days that make you feel guilty instead of better.
    Approach
Companionship instead of tracking. Five animal companions guide small moments to move, rest, energise, restart and breathe. There are no scores, streaks or judgment, and the app works fully offline with no internet permission.
    What exists today
    • Built with Flutter for Android
    • Collects nothing and asks for no internet permission

02 / Games

Beyond products: games

Products solve problems I see at work. Games are where I explore for the joy of it. NorthStar Studioz is my way of learning how games are made.

03 / Approach

How I build with AI

AI does a lot of the typing. These are the parts that stay with me.

  • Mine

    The problem and the decisions

Which problem is worth solving, what the first version includes, what it leaves out, and when it is ready to ship.

  • AI-assisted

    The building

Specs, code generation, test scaffolding and drafting are done with AI tools, and I review what they produce before it ships.

  • Guardrails

    The data

At work I use only company-approved AI tools, within data-privacy guidelines. Personal AI tools are for my own projects and learning, and no client or employer data ever goes into them.

  • Checked

    The claims

Versions, tool counts and statuses on this page are read from the projects themselves. If I cannot verify a number, it is not here.

04 / About

Finance first, then product

I work in finance during the day. For four and a half years that has meant customer-facing wealth and banking roles, today as a Virtual Relationship Manager at Aditya Birla Capital. Talking to customers about money every day taught me where products lose people: unclear next steps, hidden costs and a lack of trust.

Outside work I build. I am not a traditional software engineer. I decide what to build and why, use AI to do the implementation work, and keep each project small enough to finish and check properly.

I am also passionate about games. That is why NorthStar Studioz exists: a place to explore how games are designed and built, alongside the business products I make.
